Castle BrežiceBrežice boasts an impressive castle with an important history. At the same time the castle houses the Posavje Museum, which exhibits the collection of the cultural heritage of the Posavje region and shows the historical background and the development of the surroundings. The Brežice Castle prides itself with the most beautiful Knight's Hall in Slovenia and serves as a venue for cultural and protocol events of the highest level and is absolutely worthwhile visiting. The Water Tower, the most distinguished landmark of the city, where today a Café is spread over three floors. This Café is unique in Europe and is also worthwhile visiting as it is decorated with original ancient instruments. There are two churches in the city, the church of St. Lawrence (cerkev sv. Lovrenca) and the church of St. Rocus (cerkev sv. Roka), with their respective histories, as well as castle granaries, the building of the old pharmacy, the house of the family Del Cott, the City Hall (Rotovž) and much more.
